Deron Williams Is A 2010 NBA All-star

Los Angeles Lakers vs Utah Jazz Game 1 first-round playoffs in Los Angeles

Finally!

From Yahoo!,

Point guards Deron Williams(notes) of Utah, Chicago’s Derrick Rose(notes) and Boston’s Rajon Rondo(notes) will make their All-Star Game debuts next month in Dallas, sources said Thursday.

Though we didn’t have anything to do with this vote, it was all coaches, it’s nice to see some efforts pay off.

The biggest benefit going forward is that once you’re voted in once, it seems to be a lot easier to get put in the next  time.  And maybe we can build some momentum for next year for the fan voting.  Once he’s in the game, he’ll start getting some more name recognition and should do better on the All-star ballots from the fans.  This will open a lot of doors for him.

So this isn’t the end of VoteDeron.com by any means.  We’ll keep going on and maybe with a strong push from the Jazz, the Vote Deron can transition to MVP votes.

Thanks for all the votes.  I know Deron appreciates it.

Congrats to D-Will.

Deron Williams Returns To The Lineup As The Jazz Beat the Mavericks

Deron Williams vs. Mavericks

Deron Williams returned to action after missing the previous two games with a sprained wrist.  I guess playing in front of his old hometown and against a team like Dallas was too much to pass up.

Oh, and the Jazz needed him as well.

He didn’t appear to be suffering too many ill effects from that sprained wrist as he put up 20 & 9 tonight to lead the Jazz to a 111-93 win over the Mavericks.

He started out hot driving the lane for a layup and then hitting a leaning jumper off the glass.  He was also 3-7 from downtown.

After he was done scoring, he proceeded to dole out 5 assists in the fourth quarter to help hold off the Mavericks late in the  game.

He’ll have a couple days rest before the Jazz face the Heat on Monday.

Oh, and Vote Deron and Vote Nash to the right.

Heat vs. Suns

This is just re-damn-diculous. The NBA just released their final vote tally and Tracy McGrady is still in second place.

Right now only Steve Nash can catch him. Chris Paul had an outside shot but Nash only trails by a few thousand votes.

So if you want Deron to have any shot at making the All-star game, vote fr Steve Nash now. If you have been slacking, now is your chance to make up for it.

I really thought this whole thing would have been David Sterned by now but it hadn’t been.

So get to it. Vote Nash & Deron
